This log vase is inspired by the beauty of burned logs found in nature. A gorgeous base for tall, bold blooms, this one of a kind statement vase adds a warm accent to your living space. Groups beautifully with vases from the Birch and Charcoal Collections.

This vase is hand-crafted from smooth mid-fire porcelain. The burnished piece is then coated with several layers of custom-dyed black slip to create a slightly coarse finish into which each line of the burned log-inspired surface is individually hand-carved. The intricate charred bark texture is then filled with a black underglaze wash. A glossy obsidian glaze coats the interior, providing striking contrast to the unglazed exterior. The base is finished with the K. Allison Ceramics signature.
