Teabowls are meant for a cozy two-handed hold, but they don't have to be just for tea! They're great for ice cream, soup, and snacks. The surfaces are inspired by deep charcoal burned wood. They are entirely handbuilt from individually pinched coils of clay, then coated with thick layers of black slip and hundreds of hand-carved texture lines. The unglazed exterior carvings contrast with areas of mirror black glaze, including the full interiors. Signed on bottom. Oxidation fired to cone 6.
