This jar is handbuilt using slabs and decorated with slips, oxides, and carvings. The lid contains tiny balls of clay that make you smile as they rattle when you lift the lid. My Xs and Os motif is an homage to the very first handmade cup I purchased from a local Icelandic artist back in 2015. Its design was quite different but featured Xs and Os, which feels fitting for the love letter to Iceland that my work has become.
