Volcanic fields bud vases are coil-built from a dark clay body, altered with a torn rim, and decorated with tool marks and thin colored slips that accent the clay’s natural texture. These vases are inspired by the dormant volcanoes and volcanic calderas found all over Iceland’s volcanic fields and often weathered with colorful moss, lichen, and flora reminding us of their ancient presence. The vases have been sanded to a finish that begs to be touched.
Handwashing is recommended.
