I designed this tea cup to pair with the matching shiboridashi. While sold separately, they make a great team!
This tea cup is wheelthrown and decorated with textured slips and and all over oxide wash in an homage to the vast iron flocs of Iceland. Rich red/orange deposits dot the landscape throughout the mountains, reminding me of the very clay with which I form my pots. It has been sanded to a finish that begs to be touched.
Handwashing is recommended.
