This one-of-a-kind bud vase is hand-formed outdoors using the natural environment as texture. It is then hollowed out using the Japanese Kurinuki (meaning “to carve out”) technique. Formed from a dark, groggy clay body, each bud vase is meticulously decorated in wild clay slip from Starworks, desert sand, and melted volcanic ash responsibly sourced from Iceland. Inspired by the breathtaking mountain landscapes I experienced in La Paz and Cochabamba, Bolivia.
Glazed interior is water-tight for us with both live and dried flowers. Handwash only, please.
