bolivia artifact jar, burgundy

$135.00

3.5h (4h including handle) x 4.25w x 3.75w
While the entire form is hollow, the “box” section is very small, just 1.25w x 1w x 1.25 deep. Perfect for a few rings or pairs of earring studs and easy to access despite the very organic shape.

This one-of-a-kind trinket box is hand-formed outdoors using the natural environment as texture. It is then hollowed out using the Japanese Kurinuki (meaning “to carve out”) technique. Formed from a dark, groggy clay body, each bud vase is meticulously decorated in wild clay hand-dug in upstate New York, wild clay dust gifted to me in Cochabamba, Bolivia, and melted volcanic ash responsibly sourced from Iceland. Inspired by the breathtaking mountainous landscapes I experienced in La Paz and Cochabamba, Bolivia.

Glazed interior is water-tight. Handwash only, please.
