spiky seed pot bud vase 01

$125.00

2.75h x 4.0w (0.5” openings)

These bud vases are inspired by historical agrarian seed pots meant to help store seeds overwinter and spread them into trenches in growing season. Wheel-thrown from a dark, groggy clay body, they are decorated in a dark clay slip with a slight melted sheen. The addition of a glaze made from wild clay and ash gives this vessel a rusted metal quality. Paying tribute early South American artisanal vessels, these pieces were inspired by my visit to Tiwanaku outside La Paz, Bolivia.

Water tight for flowers, but hand-wash only please.
