11.75h x 10w x 6 open
This Artifact Vessel is crafted using ancient coil-building techniques. Formed from a dark, groggy clay body, it is decorated in a dark clay slip with a slight melted sheen, a low-fire wild clay gifted to me by a ceramic studio in Bolivia, and a custom clay blend I’ve been working to develop. The addition of a glaze made from wild clay and ash gives this vessel a rusted metal quality. Paying tribute early South American artisanal vessels, this piece was inspired by my visit to Tiwanaku outside La Paz, Bolivia.
This vessel is unglazed and should be used for dry goods only. Not fit for wet or acidic foods. Please avoid the dishwasher and microwave.
