Roof Colors: 1 dark red, 1 copper, 1 blue
In the Icelandic and Bolivian countrysides, residences are often set so far off the roads that they look like tiny little toy house models. The scenes always make me feel warm and cozy, so I created mini villages to hopefully do the same for you! Tabletop houses look great on mantles, window sills, sashes…any little spot that needs some love.
Each mini dwelling is carved from a solid block of clay and embellished with windows, doors, and often whimsical additions like smoking chimneys, balloons, hearts, and stars. All of the house bodies are unglazed. Instead, I use many different clay bodies to achieve variations in their colors. The roofs are all glazed in a variety of warm tones.
